The trip begins

It is traditional for cross country cyclist to dip their rear tire in the Pacific and their front tire in the Atlantic.

Lisa and Bob are in the center. My understanding is that this was quite a media event.

All smiles as Bob and Lisa wait to recieve the go ahead for day number 1 of their adventure.
