I hear they are on the road

I believe the old saying "a watched pot never boils" and the new one that says "a watched blog site never updates". I have checked about every 20 minutes all weekend long and no updates from the bikers. Therefore I will do an update today:
Bob and Lisa had a great time in Seattle with my brother and his family.
They arrived at the University of Washington on Saturday afternoon, did the registration and meet and greet stuff.
Sunday was spent learning about bike safety, orientation, and a celebration service. They were very pleased with the service (not that it really matters since the goal was to honor and praise God).
I received two phone calls from friends and relatives who went to Golden Gardens Beach to see them off. They thought it was a very impressive sight. Both of them took pictures and hopefully we will get them up soon.
So as the title says...they are on the road. Thanks for your support!
Check the website seatosea.org for more pictures. You can also track where the cyclist are via the google earth GPS.

Thank you

We would just like to thank you for all of your support during our preparations for our upcoming trip. Thank you for all of the encouraging words, the many prayers that have been said, and the numerous financial gifts that have been given to Sea to Sea in an attempt to end the cycle of poverty. With your help we have not only reached our financial goal of $20,000, we have surpassed it by over $10,000 to raise a total of $30,100 to aid organizations in helping people in poverty around the world.
Your prayers are coveted as we begin the cycling part of this journey. Please pray for our safety and the safety of others on the tour. Also pray that we will be able to raise awareness for those in need, and that this trip will bring glory to God.
You can follow our route along with the devotionals we will be using in the book Shifting Gears that is also available on the Seatosea.org website. Another way you can show your support is by attending the Sea to Sea Celebration service at 5th/3rd ball park on August 17.
Again thank you for everything and we will see you in August.
